Helping parents be their child’s best advocate
Bridge the Gap Liaison Services partners with Colorado families on their child’s special education journey.
Feeling seen and heard is so important to parents who have children with delays and/or disabilities. Navigating the evaluations, services, and diagnosis can be difficult. Jen uses her experience as a parent and early childhood professional to walk alongside parents as they advocate for their kids.

WHY JEN?
Jen works with families who know that things aren’t going well for their child, but they’re struggling to navigate the systems. They aren’t sure what questions to ask, and don’t feel confident knowing when and how to escalate.
Learning your child needs intervention services and/or special education support can be overwhelming. If you’re feeling nervous, unsure, or even scared, Jen can navigate this world with you.
Jen created Bridge the Gap Liaison Services after years of helping her friends, and other moms she met, support their child’s development. It was during one key moment with a mom she met at her own son’s bike camp that sparked her dream into action. Jen realized that there is a need for parents to feel heard and understood. By providing these parents with clarity from the uncertainty in their head and encouragement to trust their gut, Jen has a gift of helping parents find their voice to be their child’s best advocate.
“I would have never been able to do this all on my own. Jen is my blessing.” ~M.Y.
M.Y. is mom to David, age 6. Jen read the school and hospital assessment reports, listened to her questions and concerns, and helped her identify next steps in navigating her son’s IEP.
